Grip for tread on steps has separated from step

Reported via desktop in the Pavement/footpath issue (NH) category anonymously at 19:38, Mon 7 June 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2775413.

The steps leading from the bus stop on the A27 at Falmer Station to the pedestrian underpass has a damaged step. The grip on the tread which goes over the nose of the step has completely come away. The concrete structure of the step is now exposed. The missing gripper for the step is lying on the grass besides the steps. I would like to point out that steps that are not consistent in height do cause people to trip, as shown in studies, and I recommend a quick response to what is a significant safety issue. I am David Pamely mob number is 07722532551.
