In spite of the fact that this very serious highway safety matter was originally reported on Friday 6th June, still no grass cutting have been actually undertaken at this location. Why? If a road accident were to occur at this Bury Road roundabout location, then Highways England would, most probably, be found legally culpable, for their absolute failure to carry out their legal responsibilities accordance with the Highways Act 1980.

Thank you for contacting Highways England regarding the grass on the A14.
We carry out regular inspections of all our roads and cut back the vegetation where we find that it is limiting visibility of road signs, traffic signals or the view ahead. Your concerns have been passed to our maintenance team and I can confirm that grass cutting was completed this month on the A14.
Thank you again for contacting us.
Kind Regards Highways England
