Traffic lights badly out of sync

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2761699.

For the last week there have been 20 to 25 minutes delays on the Hawkhurst side of the Flimwell traffic light on A21. The question have been at least a mile a peak points. Please can you do something about this

  • This issue has still not been fixed. I waited at the traffic lights towards hawkhurst from flimwell this morning for 15 minutes and then 25 on the way back into flimwell.

  • The lights are green for about 10 seconds then red for 5 minutes. how is this acceptable??

  • These lights are a joke. Hawkhurst to flimwell, let's about 3 cars through. Every day! These need to be sorted, it's ridiculous!

  • 28 days to fix the problem ridiculous, traffic is burning and wasting fuel creating pollution and you thinks your response is acceptable?? An absolute disgrace, if you were running a business you would fold very quickly

  • On Tuesday 14th June it took us 30 minutes to get through the lights from Hawkhurst to Flimwell. We are now avoiding them by driving around loads of country lanes to Goudhurst to pick up the A21 at Lamberhurst. When is this going to be fixed?

  • Since the roadworks started on the 13th the lights have been out of sync both ways but more on the northbound in the mornings. this needs addressing asap please.

  • The timlng on the Hawkhurst side of the traffic lights has always been two minutes too long for the red light during peak times. However, a sadist has now caused ridiculous tailbacks by reducing green light timing. Tedious . Please change.

  • What is the problem in sorting out the traffic lights at Flimwell. This morning from Hawkhurst to A21 Flimwell I was in a line of traffic for 20m minutes, 3 cars get through on red. A this has been going on for weeks why can't Highways sort it?????
