No signs or floor markings for left and right

Reported via mobile in the Road markings (NH) category anonymously at 17:11, Mon 31 May 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2759509.

This T junction is a hot spot for accidents. Fri 28th May there was a 4car collision. So you can either off the A1slip rd turn left onto B668:to Oakham or right on the B668 to Stretton. A huge amount of people clearly don't know how to drive as they use the left hand lane to turn right even when someone is already in the right hand lane to turn right. This is extremely dangerous as you can get cut up or be caught up in an accident yourself. Please could make it overly obvious to other drivers left hand lane means turn left, right hand lane means turn right. By putting up signs and even makings on the ground. Thank you

  • Thank you for your patience whilst our inspector reviewed your report.

Our inspector visited the location and agrees that remedial work is needed to ensure the safety of road users. He has made arrangements for temporary signs to be placed on the slip road and is making enquiries into permanent signs and road markings which may take some time to organise due to funding restrictions.

Although we always aim to complete the repairs as planned, the date may change due to unforeseen circumstances.

We will provide a further update to confirm when the work has been completed or, in exceptional circumstances, a revised date.

    Kind regards Highways England
