Grass cutting and litter

Hi I am confused on who has the logic to cut the grass, months after a litter pick meaning the verges are packed with litter and you are simply making a problem 100 times worse. It is now being shredded into thousands of tiny bits, blowing into nearby hedges and the road and meaning that you have a much worse job clearing it up. THere are patches of cut grass all along here appearing and it looks awful, plus the micro particles are worse. Please stop until you litter pick! To be honest - not even sure why you are cutting it, it is largely unnecessary!

Thank you for your patience whilst we investigated this issue for you.
I have been in touch with the Service Manager for this area.
With regard to litter picking I can confirm that picking was carried out here in April 2021, before any grass cutting took place. Grass cutting and litter picking are conducted on a cyclical basis.
I have been informed that the only grass cutting taking place at this location is with our contractors who are carrying out 2m swathe cuts, which is a 2m cut from the edge of the carriageway. This is carried out twice a year. This is done for safety reasons, as it gives customers somewhere to access the verge if they breakdown and it allows our staff somewhere to safely walk along the verge should we need to.
Along with this, vegetation obscuring traffic signs and signals will also be cut so customers have clear visibility.
