Roadworks

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2742147.

There is no signage before the roadworks to allow for restricted traffic to leave the A27 before the closed exit.

This forces restricted traffic through Southwick Tunnel as there is no warning beforehand! This is a major oversight!

  • Thank you for your report about the lack of signage in respect of the works this weekend to replace the expansion bridge joints at Holmbush slip road.

    However, advance warning signage was installed two weeks prior to the works on the eastbound carriageway advising of the forthcoming works, with the diversion route being clearly signed. The designated diversion was agreed in collaboration with West Sussex County Council and the Police.

    We can confirm that the repair is now completed, and we hope that this improves your journey and please accept our apologies for any inconvenience experienced.
