Dangerous queue of traffic A3 southbound , Jct 12 (M25)
Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 07:52, Sat 22 May 2021

I drive southbound along the A3 around 4.30pm each week day. I'm not sure if the highways agency have changed the traffic light sequences on the M25 turn off (Jct 12). But for some reason now over the last 2 months the traffic is now backed up for over a 2.5 miles on the southbound A3 at the M25 turn off. There was always a queue of vehicles waiting to join the M25 for junction 12, maybe 3/4 of a mile but it was never this bad. Now vehicles are trying to slip into the queue from lane 2 which is incredibly dangerous as it brings all three lines to a stop.
Please, please, please could highwaysengland actively look into highly dangerous problem before there is a serious incident or fatality

This happens every day on my way home. I join the A3 at cobham and continue south to ripley, the M25 traffic is usually backed up to cobham meaning I have to go from a standing start from M25 queue and try and get into the middle lane where cars are travelling at 70+. Once you are into the middle lane you will inevitably have to come to a full stop as someone tries to get into the M25 lane of traffic at the last second to avoid the queue.
Whole stretch of road from cobham to ripley seems incredibly dangerous, especially where the M25 traffic joins the A3.

The building of a new layout on the A3 /M25 (junction 10) is causing massive queues on both the M25 both ways and A3 both ways for vehicles moving from the A3 to M25 and vice versa. This is not only causing drivers very significant delays but is also very dangerous as drivers in the middle lane try to cut in to the exit lane. This work is scheduled to continue to the summer of 2025. It is a scandal that nothing is being done to improve the situation.

I come off the M25 anti clockwise at the A3 junction every day. It adds 25 min to my 1 hour and 30 min normal drive home. Please address people que jumping at the last minute. It is going to end in an accident as they block a whole lane of traffic and people rightfully refuse to let them in. I know everyone has an opinion on what could help but please consider closing the middle lane a mile off from the exit stop this happening. It is not busy and two lanes could handle the traffic not existing at this point. This will stop the que jumpers and help with the flow of traffic. I don't mind waiting my turn but witnessing people, including HGV drivers, pushing in every day, extending the time it takes the rest of us to get home is driving me crazy!

M25 (junction10) anti-clockwise exit to the A3 is a dangerous and badly arranged junction. Signage is limited and long queues are forming in the M25 slow lane, over 2 miles back. Inevitably, whether due to lack of awareness or deliberately, there are queue jumpers. This affects M25 middle and outer lanes. There appears to be a lack of signage, and spare slip lanes appear to be cordoned off but are not being used. Why can more signage and warnings not be added and why can a slip lane not be opened to help alleviate this?
