Problem with traffic light phasing in afternoons.

Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 17:16, Tue 18 May 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2734405.

The phasing of the lights seems to have changed and is especially problematic in the afternoons.

Traffic approaching from the B4534 Swindon direction get green light and then encounter red light at point marked, having crossed the bridge. The queue of traffic held at the red light reaches back across the B4534 junction. Then, before they are released, the lights at the B4534 junction change to allow traffic from Lady Lane to proceed, but traffic is still left queueing across the junction.

This is getting to the point of being dangerous. Especially when impatient, rude, selfish drivers approaching from Lady Lane direction do not allow the queued traffic to clear before proceeding.
