A1237 to A64 Crosshatching inadequate

Reported via mobile in the Road markings (NH) category anonymously at 11:57, Sat 15 May 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2727489.

At the ‘Hopgrove’ roundabout A1237 junction, tailbacks on the A64 to Malton block the roundabout for A1237 traffic going west as the crosshatching on the road is in the wrong place. Result is tailbacks on the A64 always result in tailbacks on the 1237, this will only get worse as summer approaches

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting Highways England about the issue with congestion and confusion on the A64 / A1237 Junction. We are well aware of the congestion issue on the EB A64 and a major project is currently developing plans for improvement. Until we have detail of this major project, we have been instructed not to develop small improvements schemes in this area.

We will provide a further update to confirm when the work has been completed.

    Kind regards Highways England
