Drainage D234 is blocked and foul smelling
Reported via desktop in the Flooding/drainage (NH) category anonymously at 16:03, Tue 11 May 2021
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2719695.
The drainage ditch soakaway D234 on the south side of M25 by The Old Pheasantry, Merrywood Grove is completely blocked and now smelling and foetid water is now covering part of the surrounding field, whih is used for horses, obviously creating a poor environment and danger to them. The Old Pheasantry is a Centre for Disadvantaged children and we also house a School for Special Needs Children and neighbours have complained about the smell, alleging it comes from our House and School We write as Trustees for the Charity which runs the Old Pheasantry for disadvantaged children from deprived areas and we suspect no one will want to use our facilities if the smell continues,

Now it seems a cable has been discovered in the drainage ditch. HE don’t know who it belongs to and it’s all been put off again. In the meantime the ditch is now full again….

Not good enough to be frank. Hopefully someone will have an answer soon.

It is frankly very disappointing that this has been ignored, and now made worse by the apparent discovery of a high voltage cable which belongs to HE, running through the ditch. This means the land is unusable and potentially dangerous. We seem to have been ignored.

It’s now over 5 months since the report. HE inspected the drainage, found what appears to be a high voltage cable draped across it, and left…….and nothing since.

I just wonder if Highways England really care about their neighbours and this delay is extremely disappointing.
