Trowse -A140 A47 massive delay and only six workers on site .possibly the worst traffic management i have ever seen .

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2719047.
Poor traffic management, insufficient manpower on task , impact poor statistical research . I have never before felt motivated to complain about a road project . But as the city recovers this is the most ill conceived timing ever . I respect the requirement for Public and site Safety but this is ridiculous, the same work was carried out at night in my Parish at night .i will also registet my grievance through Parish council to the City council . Regards Richard Sargeant

Thank you for contacting Highways England regarding the works on the A47.
The first week of lane closures our work included deep excavations of the central reservation and the safest way to do this is during the day. We are also carrying out the removal of safety barriers and this requires closures for 24 hours a day for safety reasons and this will continue until Sunday 23 May. To remove and reset the entire road works each day would take a long time which would delay the project.
I can assure you we are working during the day and you should be able to see road workers from 8am, working on the central reservation. Due to this work we are required to leave the lane closures on 24 hours a day for safety reasons and this will continue until Sunday 23 May.
I am sorry for the inconvenience this has caused and I hope I have helped to answer your report.
Kind Regards Highways England
