Misleading speed limit sign A63 Clive Sullivan Way on the St Andrew Quay Sliproad Eastbound

Reported via mobile in the Sign issue (NH) category anonymously at 18:02, Mon 10 May 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2717514.

As you enter the sliproad going into Hull it has a speedlimit sign of 30 mph and another stating that it's 50.

This seems quite dangerous if someone is doing that speed when entering the A63 as I made the assumption that this section of the road was a 30 due to the roadworks at Mytongate.

  • Thank you for contacting Highways England.

We have passed your report regarding the speed limit signs. We believe this it’s as a result of us uncovering the existing speed limit signs when we removed our temporary 40mph limit. We will ask our team to check the area and make sure all signs are correct..

    Kind regards Highways England
