Drainage issue

Reported via desktop in the Flooding/drainage (NH) category anonymously at 14:19, Wed 5 May 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2708191.

The holding pond is adjacent to a disused railway embankment, the railway now being a public footpath. A badger set is present in the embankment with entry holes on both the footpath and holding pond sides. The hole on the holding pond side is just above the invert of the pond so in a flood will be well under water. In a flood water will run through the set and is likely to cause the collapse of the embankment onto the footpath which is clearly a public safety issue. My name is Jeff Peters and I am a retired civil engineer. My number is 07443528048
