Traffic light phasing

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 18:11, Wed 28 April 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2696684.

The traffic light phasing at the slip road to the M4 from Maidenhead Central is totally wrong letting maximum of 5 cars through whereas traffic coming from A404 or from M4 west allows streams of traffic through each time. This causes build up of congestion on slip road.

Updates

  • Now that the phasing of the lights has changed between the A404 and M4 which only allows 5 cars through means it creating severe congestion on the A404 and adding 15 to 20 minutes on to the journey. This needs to addressed urgently as it worked well before. The delay time also increases the pollution caused by heavy traffic.
