Dangerous Pedestrian/Bike Crossing

Reported via desktop in the Pavement/footpath issue (NH) category anonymously at 17:08, Mon 26 April 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2692572.

As a pedestrian, this is an impossible crossing with regular oncoming vehicles from the A46 one way and others from the roundabout. There are no lights or assisted crossings and you often have to 'chance' rushing across or spend 15 minutes waiting for the next break in traffic. Really dangerous when attempting to access the public bridleway near Farm Belt. Would benefit from pedestrian crossing to avoid accidents.

  • Know the spot and it's like playing ''Russian Roulette'' to get over, if this was Holland even the paper blue-print plan would have been kicked out as it would be seen as a highly dangerous crossing, in Holland a decent bridge would have been built, alas we are in the UK, so only bits of tarmac & drop kerbs & paint is the only thought given to cyclists & pedestrians.
