Sent to National Highways less than a minute later
There are traffic lights at the Ebbsfleet major road improvements adjacent to Springhead Nursery, just before you enter the A2 coastbound sliproad/Pepper Hill. This afternoon there have been significant delays and it transpires that this seems to be due to a temporary traffic light for a pedestrian crossing (presumably for highway workers) which is on permanent red. There are no workers there at this time, no pedestrians crossing and no oncoming hazards as you would get with a normal set of traffic lights. Traffic has had no option but to go through the red and then join the A2 coastbound slip. No telephone number for these works could be seen at the site of this problem but felt it important to report as a significant number of road users have had to go through a red light or basically just sit there with no means or anyone there to report the fault to. Reporting so that tickets can be avoided as no choice, and nowhere else to move! Tempers are getting a bit frayed there unfortunately. Would be good if someone can have a look at these lights, remove them/switch them off if they are not required for a Sunday afternoon or report to the developers for them to sort it out.
