M4 J8/9 Westbound

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2687477.

Traffic lights are not letting many cars through and this is causing major tail backs on the M4 slow lane which is dangerous. Even during off peak times the traffic is still backing up onto the M4. Please fix ASAP before there is a bad accident.

  • As reported earlier the traffic light phasing for traffic coming off the west bound slip at J8/9 is not letting much traffic through and during peak hours is leading to dangerous queue's on the M4.This has been the case for the last two weeks Please fix urgently

  • There is an issue with the traffic lights j8/9 eastbound. It only lets a few cars through and causing long and dangerous queues on the motorway- even off peak. The traffic light on the bridge was green for 3 times longer even though there was no queue there. Settings need to be adjusted to present an accident
