There's a really bad 'lump' in the road as you come off the A34 (North bound) at the Abingdon roundabout.

  • Having just been launched on this slip road exiting the a34 my 32 tonne truck was thrown upwards and across the carriageway as a result luckily this never caused a serious accident and should be repaired with invite effect before someone is seriously injured

  • Totally agree this needs to be fixed. Whilst all vehicles should be a roadworthy condition, the reality is, if someone has an exhaust which is corroding (as happens to most vehicles) the significant undulation caused by this section of road would be sufficiently strong to cause a total failure, and potential result in a high speed incident.

I’m addition, the general road surface of the roundabout itself is now very poor with the subsurface exposed in multiple areas.

Could the powers that be provide an update please it this was reported 6 months ago and is a major, high traffic junction. Thanks

  • I exited the A34 at this junction yesterday and this is a serious bump in the road with no warning sign whatsoever. Went to garage today to get my car checked as it didn't sound right. They said it's a suspension issue and likely cause are bumps in roads. Bearing in mind I had new suspensions fixed in my car at the end of last year. I felt sorry for the lorry behind me. If you can't get this fixed, at least put warning signs up!

  • This dip is gradually worsening at over time, could be the start of a possible sink hole if it continues. Some cars are beginning to drive into the right hand lane and back into the left after to avoid it, not necessarily with warning. Have witnessed some vehicles swerve after hitting it as they haven’t been expecting it. Could easily cause someone to lose control, or serious damage to someone’s vehicle especially the speed you’ll drive off the a34 and not wanting to slam your brakes on when there’s others behind you.
