Litter along the A34 is prolific

• The litter along the whole length of the A34 is utterly shameful. It would be helpful to know which authority is responsible for keeping it clear. Any attempt to report it via the National Highways site is redirected to the entirely inappropriate Fix My Street site. Other A roads and motorways suffer from this problem but there are few as appalling as the A34.

• Reported it too. Biffa will not do anything unless the roads are closed. They told me that their are no planned closures so won’t do anything

• Just driving back from the midlands to Bournemouth the A34 is a disgusting mess so much litter it’s disgraceful that nothing has been done to clean it up . Bournemouth is no better the councils seem to have stopped cleaning since the pandemic

• The litter on the A34 is disgusting. A bit concerning that this was reported in 2021 and has not been attended to by 2023.

• Totally disgusting the litter on the A34 clean it up early Sunday mornings with a speed limit of 30 mph for a hour or so with volunteers. It’s not rocket science. Bring some pride to our county.

• February 2024 and the litter is still there all along the A34 in Oxfordshire. Nothing been done to sort it out. It’s worse than ever.

• The problem along the A34, still continues (2024) from Abingdon to Basingstoke, where I travel to and from every other weekend. It seems clear to me whoever is responsible for this doesn’t care. We should all be proud of the country we live in and any visitors visiting from another country, would be appalled at the amount of litter spread along our highways! Please, there must be someone who could put this problem as a priority and for it to be sorted once and for all and for the foreseeable future.
