Potholes / road breaking up joining northbound A1(M) north at J.7

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2641948.

As you join the northbound carriageway of the A1(M) at junction 7, there are a number of potholes and sections of the road that have started to break up. This has been like this for several weeks and the condition is getting worse.

  • Thank you for contacting Highways England.

    I have spoken to our inspector who has defected this area regularly on a weekly basis on their safety inspections. There are numerous 28 day patches in place that are holding up and they are in the process of submitting a small works business case for funding. They will continue to monitor this area and make safe any defects that occur until a more permanent solution can be scheduled.
