Large and deep pothole on roundabout exit near pedestrian crossing

Reported via desktop in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 19:56, Thu 18 March 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2618491.

This pothole is located in the 2nd lane when exiting the roundabout when joining the A4 towards Bristol. It is unavoidable when exiting the roundabout and is so deep it damaged my front wheel causing a blow out and damaged my rear wheel causing irreparable damage to tyre. 2 wheels and 2 tyres! Lucky I had 2 hands on wheel and nobody at pedestrian crossing. Could be very different if on a motorbike.

  • Bristol Council provided the link stating that Highways England manage the road !

Highways England replied promptly stating Bristol Council manage the road!

And we, the RFL payers, are wondering why the roads are in such a bad state of management 🤷🏼‍♂️
