Big pothole just off the Avonmouth roundabout at the beginning of the A$ heading into Bristol

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2609082.

I have not taken a photo as it was not safe to do so. I hit this pothole on Saturday afternoon and it popped my tyre. I have a new car therefore the tyre was only 4 months old so not old and worn. I have had to pay £248 to call out National tyres and have the tyre replaced. Can you please let me know if I am able to claim compensation from the council for the damage to my car?
