Dangerous road surface!!!

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2607304.

5 years NOW!! AND NOTHING!!!! this has been badly patched once and is causing cars to swerve at the junction to avoid the potholes and road surface breakup. This is already a dangerous junction made worse by the lack of road repair. OVER 5 YEARS!!! I will be claiming for tyre damage as well alignment. Repair this NOW FFS!!!

  • Thank you for contacting Highways England. concerning the condition of the A27 carriageway. We shall look into this issue during our next safer inspection, when suitable mitigation will be arranged.

    Safety defects are attended to and made safe within 24 hours and any permanent repairs that are required are then carried out within 28 days. Service defects are less severe and are further categorised into high or low priority. Service high defects will aim to be repaired within 6 months, whereas service low defects are monitored and placed into future programme of works and bid for funding.
