Dangerous lack of traction from slippery surface
Reported via desktop in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 10:58, Mon 8 March 2021
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2594146.
There is an extremely dangerous section of road surface as you exit the roundabout south bound on the outside lane where I have lost traction several times, I have seen a car in the ditch after it lost traction and also cars in front of me struggle to control their car when they hit this section of road surface.

Section of repaired tarmac in lane two as you exit the roundabout is like ice when wet. Very dangerous.

Tuesday 29 June - My car left the road through loss of traction on the repaired tarmac in lane two as you exit the roundabout heading Southbound. Luckily the shrubbery on the side of the road prevented my car ditching some 10-15ft down the embankment. Two cars came of the road during the previous weekend and another car left the carriageway at the same spot on the Saturday following my accident. When are you going to investigate and repair the carriageway please? There are multiple historical examples of other accidents at the same spot on social media.......

This road is still extremely slippery. I reported this around about 4 months ago and a Caution Slippery sign was put up by Skellingthorpe roundabout, the complete wrong end.
This is just after the dividing screens between the two carriageways as you leave Carholme roundabout heading to Skellingthorpe roundabout and you can see a different coloured patch of tarmac. I've seen 3 people in a ditch just opposite this and lost my car numerous times.
This is not getting any better and still as dangerous as ever! Needs looking at ASAP!
