Acoustic fencing adjacent to A47 Norwich bypass is dilipated

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2591276.

Between A47 and Marks Hall Farm Road, several sections of acoustic fencing is broken, missing and fallen down. Fencing believed to be highways england asset.

    I have looked into your report and have found that this is not an acoustic fence. This fence was installed during the construction of the A47, to help against the dazzle between the A47 and the Markshall Farm Road whilst the foliage grew to take over this role minimising maintenance and to bring back the habitats for the wildlife.

    Now the trees have grown to replace the use of this fence it is no longer required and since it is not a safety risk we would not do anything to remove it at this point in time.
