Large amounts of litter

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2590283.

The central reservation of the M606 and the Chain Bar roundabout are full of litter it looks like the local tip and could be a hazard for drivers in windy conditions with discarded takeaway coffee cups and cans potentially flying around. The grassed verges and hedges on both the northbound and southbound carriageways also need clearing as does the entry slip road banking onto the M62 eastbound at junction 26, Chain bar.

  • Thank you for contacting Highways England regarding the litter issue on the M606. We are aware of this and our maintenance team will visit site as soon as possible to clear the area. We will provide a further update to confirm when the work has been completed.
