Huge pothole in left lane just before Canterbury slip road

  • Thank you for your report, we are aware of this pothole and our inspector is reviewing this location on Friday 26 February 2021 to understand if remedial work is needed to ensure the safety of road users.

    Please be assured that we are aware of the deteriorating condition of this stretch of the A2 which has been accelerated following the recent snow and low temperatures. We have a resurfacing scheme in our programme for the next financial year from April 2021 but recognising the issues we are working hard with our counterparts at Kent County Council to carry out urgent patching repairs before the end of March. In the meantime we continue to monitor during our weekly safety inspections.
