Serious litter problem all the way around the bend and up the A23 on both sides and the Central Reservation

  • Thank you for contacting Highways England about the amount of litter observed on the A23 slip road to the A27 at Patcham. However under the terms of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 litter responsibilities lie with local authorities, in this instance with Brighton and Hove City Council. They can be contacted at cityclean@brighton-hove.gov.uk to report and understand how they manage their responsibilities. Acknowledging your concerns we will raise our own report to them.
