Litter bins full and rubbish everywhere

The lay-by bins are full to overflowing. Litter all along the lay-by.

  • Thank you for your patience whilst our inspector reviewed your report. During the review our inspector doesn’t feel that this is causing any safety concerns at this time and remedial work isn’t required.

    Highways England are responsible for the removal of litter from the motorways and a few A roads. The local authorities - not the County Council - are responsible for the removal of litter from most A roads. This report needs to be redirected to the local authority.

    We will continue to review this and will arrange any required work if the situation changes.
