Reported via mobile in the Vegetation (grass/hedges/trees) category anonymously at 16:25, Thursday 18 February 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later

Since the railings were erected the paths either side have never been cleaned and could cause a slip hazard when wet, as beginning to encroach on pathway.apprx 10cm deep in places with grass etc growing in it. Dangerous as its on all sides of pedestrian crossing. Duty of care?

  • Thank you for contacting Highways England regarding the dirt and debris on the A47.

Our inspectors have been out to look at this area and they have raised a 3 month job accordingly for the West Bound to clear approx. 120m of detritus from around pedestrian railing.

Regarding the East Bound, this can be done under fix now as it has only been reported as two gullies

Thank you for bringing this to our attention and I hope this helps.

    Kind regards

    Highways England
