Broken fencing

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2553258.

2 sections of fencing collapsed between footpath and motorway along the north side of the M54 between the bridges on Ercall Lane and Golf Links Lane. Initially reported to Telford & Wrekin Council over a year ago. Recent work appears to have been completed at the western end of this path, but these 2 sections have not been touched.

    We have passed your report regarding the fencing to our local inspector who will review the issue as part of their next safety check.

    We aim to provide a further update no later than 2 March.

  • Thank you for your patience whilst our inspector reviewed your report.

    Our inspector visited the location and completed a temporary repair where the fence had fallen over. The fence was re erected temporarily and we have covered the area with orange mesh fence.

    As such, a permanent repair is planned.

    We will provide a further update to confirm when the work has been completed or, in exceptional circumstances, a revised date.
