Large potholes and broken/perished road surface on the A47. The damage to the surface of the road is now unavoidable and is damaging vehicles. The area of concern covers the stretch from Guyhirn roundabout all the way through to the Cromwell Road roundabout. All areas of concern have been getting worse over the course of the last two weeks and some cannot be seen in the dark.

Updates

  • I’m afraid that over the last month , partly due to the weather, this area of the A47 has become problematic pavement wise . We have instructed 24 hour repairs on our last number of safety inspections and defected the locations for 28day hotbox repairs. There are also uneven road boards in situ and we will produce business cases in due course. We will continue to monitor the area for anymore deterioration. Kind Regards Highways England
