Water running onto the motorway after J8 Eastbound M27

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2515104.

After it has rained and the rest of the motorway has pretty much dried. Water continues to run onto the motorway across nearly all 3 lanes, it also has to go through the 11mph roadwork Road. I have noticed this for the last few months. I'm concerned that if this isn't fixed by the time the motorway goes back to 70 that it could cause an aquaplaning issue as people may not notice as it will be almost running water when the rest of the motorway is dry.

Updates

  • After a sharp shower the central barrier is flooding both sides of the carriageway between J8 and 9. The groundwork is finished here but the drainage is not coping. Water from the opposite carriageway coming over the barrier to en coming traffic.
