Slip road reduced in length

The slip road form Warmsworth A1M J36 northbound has been shortened to such a length that it is very dangerous. Each morning cars are stood still waiting to join the motorway on the slip road with lorries and other vehicles driving past at speed. The current speed limit is 40mph due to road works however, it appears that the slip road has been permanently shortened. This slip road was not particularly good prior to this development due to it being a downward slope and limited visibility of vehicles already on the motorway coming past the junction but now it is much worse and seems very dangerous trying to get on the motorway form a standing point. Whilst road maintenance workers are in place in that area, could it be considered to elongate the slip road to at least what it was before?
