Flytipping next to A1 bridge on Nortonbury Lane

Reported this flytipping problem to Herts County Council on 25th Jan 2021. HCC responded that this needs to be addressed by North Herts District Council. HCC will not take action.

This flytipping pile continues to increase and is encouraging other people to dump rubbish along this stretch of Nortonbury Lane. See other flytipping incident reported today that is less than 30m further along the lane.

  • The flytipping is on land that is maintained by Highways England. It is on the embankment of the A1

  • The flytipping has not been removed from the A1 embankment and is encouraging more illegal dumping of rubbish close to the adjacent A1 bridge
