Heading westbound on the inside lane

Reported via desktop in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 07:55, Tue 19 January 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2487122.

A pothole has developed near the left hand side lane roughly in the middle, it wasn't there yesterday. Could be a risk to solo motorcyclists. From what I could tell the pothole was approximately 0.5m long but seemed quite deep.

Updates

  • Pothole the size of a dinner plate and very deep. I hit it yesterday at 7am burst my tire and had to call AAVery dangerous. Luckily the roads are quiet that early in the morning. This is very dangerous as it’s straight off the round about in the middle of the road.

  • Very deep large pothole, had to swerve to avoid it. Dangerous as could force car out in front of overtaking vehicles.

  • The temporary patch applied the other day has partially disintegrated, so there is still a dangerous pothole on the exit from the roundabout.

  • There is bits of car on the verge edging on to the main road as you leave the roundabout westbound

  • A resurfacing scheme in the area is currently planned to take place.
