Multiple potholes A11 northbound between wymondham and thickthorn roundabout
Reported via desktop in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 16:49, Sun 17 January 2021
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2483848.
There are numerous potholes on the A11 between attleborough and norwich, the worst being between wymondham junction and thickthorn roundabout, both north and southbound. I drive this route daily and yesterday whilst driving northbound encountered a large square pothole towards the edge of the road and another further along near the centre of the road, both of which jarred my car significantly. Driving that whole section of road is like driving on rumble strips with the amount of potholes and deteriorating past repairs causing such an uneven road surface. I find myself studying the road surface trying to play "dodge the pothole" which is very stressful, especially when i do hit a large pothole and i worry for the damage being done to my car! PLEASE can this section of road be fully resurfaced, it is well over due as these roads have been bad for years now!

Thank you for contacting Highways England
We recently undertook patch repairs for two weeks before Christmas on the northbound side and are due to return in March to the southbound and if possible the northbound.
A concrete scheme is due to start on the NB in September and in the interim we are repairing any safety defects as and when reported by our weekly safety inspections.
Kind regards
Highways England.
