A2 Lydden hill traffic light phasing wrong

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 06:53, Fri 8 January 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2467007.

The traffic light on main carriage way constantly turning red to allow turning traffic to shepherdswell when there isn’t anything there. This happens quickly stopping and starting traffic 24/7. Bad for environment, bad for economy... this has been like this for approx 1yr. Please please please try to fix thanks!!

Updates

  • Traffic lights still phasing incorrectly, using this route every day to go to work in the early hours to be stopped every day unnecessarily with trucks etc.... terrible.

  • Lights not working at all

Posted anonymously at 16:47, Thu 11 March 2021

  • How much longer have we got to put up with the bloody lights at Lydden not working. Is it beyond the Hyways authority to be able to change the lights in favour of the A2. Why is the A2 being stopped when there is no traffic wishing to travel from the side roads. So many people just jump the lights there it almost makes it pointless having the lights at all.
