Distance stated on 'services' sign misleading

Reported via desktop in the Sign issue (NH) category anonymously at 17:01, Fri 1 January 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2456498.

On the A1 Northbound carriageway there is a sign stating 'Blyth Services 2/3m' indicating that the turn off for the services is 2/3 mile ahead. However the sign is located only about 250yds from the slip road (between the 300yd and 200 yd countdown markers). As a result drivers seeking the services may be unprepared to enter this slip road believing there is a further access downstream to the services ahead.
