Dangerous pothole
Reported via desktop in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 20:43, Mon 21 December 2020
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2442428.
There are a series of potholes/badly degrading road surface areas between the lanes of the carriageway along the line of the cats eyes and white lining between the lanes at junction 10 of the M65 travelling Westbound. This morning (21/12/2020) whilst changing lanes I suffered a near miss, hitting a pothole which instantly blew my front left tyre and caused my vehicle to pull hard left. Upon further and closer inspection of the wheel this has also damaged the rim of the alloy wheel.
These need to be rectified urgently before they cause a high speed accident. What is most frustrating is that the carriageway lanes were patched within the last year but for some reason they did not rectify the areas between the lanes as if nobody ever changes lanes, add to this the fact the motorway is no longer lit, you have absolutely no chance of seeing these with sufficient time to react.
Regards Mr Tillotson
