Previously filled pothole that has sunk.

Reported via desktop in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 14:07, Sun 15 November 2020

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later

Previously filled pot hole has sunk conciderable below road surface. Positioned just out from kerb, vehicles flick stones out across pavement (I witnessed this myself) dangerous for road users on 2 wheels, and quite alarming for residents when large trucks carrying containers, tippers or similar hit it. Sounds like a cannon! Especially annoying at night! Position just before Gunton Church Lane heading towards Lowestoft.

Updates

  • A47 westbound from corner with Gunton Church Lane Please note, the above pothole and associated subsidence is now worse plus the road surface is cracked parallel with the kerb along the length of the anti slip surface, holding water and breaking up.
