Sunken road

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 10188442.

I would like to report two noticeable dips in the A1 carriageway. They are approximately 30 metres apart and are directly within the normal driving line of vehicles. The dips are quite sudden and, when travelling at normal motorway speeds, they cause a noticeable thump through the vehicle as the car drops into and comes back out of the depression. It is a fairly harsh impact and is clearly putting unnecessary strain on the vehicle’s suspension, wheels and tyres. Could these two areas please be inspected to establish whether the carriageway has subsided or deteriorated and whether remedial work is required?
