Uneven surface

I would like to report a section of the A1M where the road surface is noticeably uneven and appears to have developed a series of rolling depressions. Rather than being a flat surface, the carriageway rises and falls over approximately 50–100 metres, with noticeable divots and undulations in the normal driving line. The uneven surface is particularly noticeable when travelling at motorway speeds and causes the vehicle to move up and down repeatedly. My concern is the effect this is having on vehicle suspension, wheels and tyres, as well as the potential impact on handling and safety. I would be grateful if this section of the A1 could be inspected and assessed for possible resurfacing or remedial work.

Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
