Very large V-shaped board STILL on A52 grass verge!

Reported via iOS in the Flyposting (NH) category anonymously at 09:25, Friday 2 October 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 10182320.

Despite reporting this dangerous very large ‘Goose Fair’ advertising board on the A52 several weeks ago and being told by the Highways Authority that ‘an inspector would visit to assess’ ABSOLUTELY NOTHING was done. On driving past on Tuesday 29 September it was still stuck there! Flyposting is illegal. What part of this does the Highways Authority not understand? By contrast, a similar report sent to Erewash Borough Council was dealt with immediately and the board on Bostocks Lane removed. Highways Agency - this is disgraceful on such a constantly fast road this should have been dealt with in the same week as it was reported.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways about flyposting.

We have passed this to one of our local inspectors to confirm that this is on our property. If it is, we will then either contact the company concerned and ask them to remove their material from our property or remove this ourselves.

    Kind regards

    National Highways
