Multiple lights not working

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 10181685.

Driving from A666 towards m61/ m60 the lights are out. I reported this last year. It is a very dangerous stretch of road in the dark and raining as you can’t see. It’s around the Far worth/ kearsley junction. There will be a bad crash soon

    We have switched lighting off on this stretch of road to support the Department of Transport’s aim to reduce carbon emissions. These roads have been carefully chosen with all road users safety considered.

    We are still using road lighting where it is needed, however, we are confident that we can use less of it without a significant impact on safety. We will continue to monitor this and may restore the lighting if the situation changes.
