Updates

  • Thank you for your report regarding the M62 / M621 Gildersome Interchange traffic lights.

We apologise for any delays you’ve experienced. To ensure disruption is minimised to road users during the works, the temporary lights were set to mirror the timings and sequence of the permanent lights until the scheme is completed.

Since the installation of the temporary lights our traffic management contractor has been monitoring and if required, have tweaked the timings slightly to ensure traffic queuing is addressed.

We have passed the issue you’ve reported to the traffic management contractor to further investigate, monitor and address any queuing traffic caused due to the ongoing traffic signal renewal scheme.

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We’ll continue to monitor and carry out appropriate actions as a result. Kind regards National Highways.
