Litter is not collected before the grass it cut.

Reported anonymously at 09:16, Sat 10 July 2021

All along the A52, I have witnessed in recent weeks that, the team who gang mows this does not collect litter sufficiently enough prior to mowing. The result is thousands of cut up pieces of litter left all over the place. A litter pick before is vital as it also ensures that no debris, dangerous material, glass, animal waste, etc, will be mown over causing damage to vehicles and spreading diseases for people. All places with such grass areas which need to be mown for visibiltiy issues would be much better maintaned under a cut and collect system. This removes the fertility which means the grass grows slower and with more biodiversity value. This system has already saved Dorset County Council £450,000 since it was started. Highways England can do this as I have seen it done in other parts of the country.
